PowerMatch Bonus - Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (the Terms) govern the Liquid Brokers PowerMatch Bonus Promotion (the Promotion) offered by LIQUID MARKETS PTY LTD., an International Business Company incorporated in Saint Lucia under Registration Number 2024-00504 and trading as Liquid Brokers (the Company). By opening and/or using a Liquid Brokers Account, the client (the Participant) agrees to these Terms, together with the Company’s General Terms and Conditions.

Back to PowerMatch

1. About the PowerMatch Account

1.1 PowerMatch is promotional trading credit provided to eligible clients. It is shown as Credit in your trading account, separate from your balance. It may increase the equity available to support open positions and margin. It is not a deposit, cash balance, client-owned funds or an amount you can withdraw or transfer. It cannot be converted into withdrawable cash merely by trading, holding it for a period or closing the account.

1.2 Your deposits and any withdrawable trading profits remain separate from PowerMatch credit in the trading platform. Trading losses may nevertheless reduce your own funds and then consume PowerMatch credit. PowerMatch does not prevent you from losing your entire deposit.

2. Eligibility

2.1 You must meet our general account opening, identity verification and other eligibility requirements, and be an acceptable Liquid Brokers client. We may offer a PowerMatch account only where we have confirmed that the account, underlying trading products and promotional credit may lawfully be offered to you.

2.2 The Promotion is unavailable to clients in territories restricted under the Company’s General Terms and Conditions. It may also be unavailable in other jurisdictions where the Company does not offer the Promotion.

2.3 These Terms do not override any jurisdictional restriction in our general client agreement.

2.4 Each verified client may hold one PowerMatch account. PowerMatch accounts are denominated in USD only. We may make PowerMatch available only to clients in certain countries or client groups.

3. Deposits and PowerMatch Calculation

3.1 Every deposit to a PowerMatch account must be at least one hundred USD ($100); smaller deposits are not accepted to this account. You may deposit while positions are open. When an accepted deposit is credited to the trading account, it is added to your Real Balance and your PowerMatch credit is recalculated immediately on your Matched Amount (clause 3.2), at the band rates in this clause, up to the maximum in clause 3.4. A deposit can only increase your PowerMatch credit; it never reduces it. The hourly reconciliation in clause 4.2 applies to changes arising from trading.

3.2 PowerMatch is calculated on your Matched Amount, which is the lower of your Real Balance and your Real Equity:

(a) Real Balance means your settled own funds: your deposits, less withdrawals, plus or minus closed trading profit and loss, less commissions and swaps, excluding PowerMatch credit.

(b) Real Equity means your Real Balance plus or minus the current floating profit or loss on open positions, excluding PowerMatch credit. For this calculation, Real Equity is never treated as less than zero.

(c) Because the lower of the two is used, profit on open positions never increases your PowerMatch credit until it is realised by closing the position, while losses on open positions can reduce it.

3.3 Each portion of your Matched Amount earns the rate shown for its band. The rates are marginal: reaching a higher band does not change the rate already applied to lower bands.

3.4 The maximum PowerMatch credit is three thousand USD ($3,000). For example, two thousand USD ($2,000) of Matched Amount earns one hundred USD ($100) on the first one hundred USD ($100), four hundred and fifty USD ($450) on the next nine hundred USD ($900), and three hundred and fifty USD ($350) on the next one thousand USD ($1,000): nine hundred USD ($900) in total.

3.5 At a scheduled reconciliation, a positive Matched Amount of one hundred USD ($100) or less is matched at 100%: your PowerMatch credit equals your Matched Amount. There is no minimum PowerMatch credit amount. This does not change the minimum deposit or withdrawal requirements.

3.6 If a deposit is reversed, charged back, rejected or otherwise not finally received by the Company, that deposit shall cease to qualify for PowerMatch. The Company may recalculate and remove the credit attributable to it, recover any resulting account shortfall, and restrict the account while the transaction is investigated, subject to the General Terms and Conditions and applicable law. Removing credit may affect margin and result in the closure of open positions.

First USD 100100%
Above USD 100 to USD 1,00050%
Above USD 1,000 to USD 3,00035%
Above USD 3,000 to USD 10,00025%

4. How Trading Affects PowerMatch

4.1 Your own funds absorb trading losses first. Losses exceeding your own funds may consume PowerMatch credit. Closed trading profits first repair any shortfall in your own funds, then may support the restoration of PowerMatch credit under the matching rules. Floating profit on open positions does not increase PowerMatch credit until the position is closed. Any remaining profit attributable to your account forms part of your own funds.

4.2 Deposits may increase PowerMatch credit as soon as they are credited to the trading account. Trading profit and loss do not adjust PowerMatch credit on every market price movement. Instead, the Company recalculates the credit approximately once each hour on your Matched Amount at that reconciliation:

(a) closed profit raises your Real Balance, so the credit can increase at the next reconciliation;

(b) closed losses lower your Real Balance, so the credit can decrease at the next reconciliation, even if other open positions are in profit;

(c) floating losses lower your Real Equity, so the credit can decrease at the next reconciliation while positions remain open;

(d) floating profit does not increase the credit.

4.3 The PowerMatch amount displayed between reconciliations may differ from the amount that your current Matched Amount would earn if recalculated immediately. Open profit and loss can change continuously. Dashboard figures are indicative until the relevant trades and account transactions have been processed.

4.4 The table below summarises when PowerMatch credit can increase or decrease. The clauses referred to apply in full.

5. Margin Calls and Stop-Outs

5.1 PowerMatch credit contributes to equity for margin purposes. Reducing or removing credit reduces equity and may trigger a margin call or automatic closure of positions even if the market price has not moved.

5.2 If a reconciliation reduces credit while you have an open position, your margin level is recalculated using the lower credit amount. Your position may then be closed under the account’s applicable stop-out rules. We will display the applicable margin call and stop-out levels in the account specification and notify you when a credit reduction moves your account into margin call territory, subject to the notification terms in our general client agreement.

5.3 You are responsible for monitoring both your Real Equity and your margin level. A displayed PowerMatch amount is not a guarantee that a position will remain open until the next scheduled reconciliation.

5.4 Margin calculations, margin calls and stop-out procedures may take effect immediately following a PowerMatch adjustment. A notification is provided for information and is not a condition that must be satisfied before the adjustment or any resulting position closure takes effect.

6. Withdrawals

6.1 You must request all withdrawals from a PowerMatch account through the PowerMatch dashboard. The ordinary wallet withdrawal route is not available for this account type, and requests submitted through any other route will not be processed as PowerMatch withdrawals. PowerMatch credit itself cannot be withdrawn. A withdrawal is limited to settled, available funds belonging to you and remains subject to our normal verification, payment and compliance checks.

6.2 You cannot withdraw from a PowerMatch account while any position is open. You must first close all positions so that the final account balance and PowerMatch amount can be determined.

6.3 A partial withdrawal must leave at least one hundred USD ($100) of your own funds in the account. You may instead withdraw the full available amount of your own funds, leaving none. You cannot make a partial withdrawal that leaves your own funds between zero USD ($0) and one hundred USD ($100). If your own funds are already below one hundred USD ($100), only a withdrawal of the full available amount is permitted.

6.4 After an approved withdrawal, we recalculate the PowerMatch supported by your remaining Real Balance (all positions are closed, so your Real Balance and Real Equity are the same). A withdrawal can only reduce PowerMatch credit; it never increases it. Withdrawing all your own funds forfeits any remaining PowerMatch credit. A partial withdrawal may reduce PowerMatch credit even though the credit is not part of the amount paid to you.

6.5 A withdrawal request is not complete until the funds have been deducted from the trading account and credited to the destination wallet or payment account under our payment process. If processing is interrupted, we may hold the request while we investigate or complete it. We will not intentionally pay the same request twice.

7. Real Equity Reaching Zero and Parked Credit

7.1 If an hourly reconciliation finds that your Real Equity has reached zero, we will close any remaining open positions and remove PowerMatch credit from the active trading account. Any credit remaining after positions have been closed may be parked for seven days, subject to clause 7.3.

7.2 Parked credit cannot be traded with or withdrawn. To restore it, your Real Equity must reach the amount that would earn the parked credit under the bands in clause 3 within seven days of parking. You can reach that amount through deposits, trading profit after funding the account again, or a combination of the two. The dashboard will display the required Real Equity and the parking deadline.

7.3 If total account equity reaches zero, the account is subject to stop-out: positions are closed, remaining credit is removed, and no credit is parked. If the account balance is negative after the stop-out, we will reset it to zero under our negative balance protection, and you will not owe the shortfall, unless clause 9.4 applies.

7.4 If the seven-day period expires before you reach the restoration target, the parked credit expires. This does not, by itself, lock your account or forfeit your own remaining funds. Thereafter, any new PowerMatch is calculated under the ordinary matching rules at the next applicable reconciliation.

7.5 Before a reconciliation that may park credit, the dashboard will show the time until the next scheduled reconciliation and the amount required to bring your Real Equity back above zero. This countdown is informational; market movements, stop-out rules and other account events may cause positions to close sooner.

7.6 The seven-day period begins when the surviving PowerMatch credit is parked and expires seven (7) calendar days later at the time shown in the PowerMatch dashboard. If your Real Equity reaches the restoration target before that deadline, the parked credit remains eligible for restoration even if verification or the account adjustment is completed afterward. Restoration takes effect once the Company has verified that the target was reached before the deadline and has processed the account adjustment. A pending deposit or displayed recovery amount does not, by itself, establish that the target has been reached.

8. Recovery Information

8.1 While you are still trading and your Real Equity is below zero, the dashboard will show the amount needed to restore your own funds to zero. Deposits and both realised and floating trading profit or loss may change that displayed amount.

8.2 Once credit is parked, the dashboard will instead show the Real Equity needed to earn the parked amount under clause 3. For example, USD 350 of parked credit requires USD 600 of Real Equity.

8.3 A recovery indicator is an estimate based on current account information. It does not suspend margin requirements, guarantee that open positions will remain open, or extend the seven-day parking period.

9. Corrections and Changes

9.1 We may correct a calculation, duplicate credit, processing error or incorrect display and adjust the account to the amount properly due under these Terms. We will keep a record of material adjustments and provide an explanation on request.

9.2 We may change or withdraw PowerMatch for future deposits or newly opened accounts by giving the notice required under our general client agreement and applicable law. Changes to credit already allocated to an account will be made only where these Terms, the general client agreement or applicable law permit them.

9.3 The Company may investigate any activity it reasonably suspects is fraudulent, manipulative, abusive or intended to circumvent these Terms, including the use of related accounts, coordinated or opposing positions, artificial trading activity, or the exploitation of pricing, execution or technical errors. While an investigation is pending, the Company may suspend the granting, restoration or withdrawal-related adjustment of PowerMatch credit and may restrict trading or withdrawals where reasonably necessary to protect the account or the integrity of the Promotion.

9.4 Where the Company reasonably determines that a Participant has engaged in such conduct, it may decline, reduce, remove or recover PowerMatch credit; reverse any benefit or profit directly attributable to that conduct; disqualify the Participant from the Promotion; restrict or close the PowerMatch Account; and take any further action permitted by the General Terms and Conditions or applicable law. The Company will maintain a record of its decision and will review any complaint under its complaints procedure.

10. Complaints and Other Terms

10.1 Our general client agreement continues to govern trading execution, fees, verification, payments, complaints, governing law and dispute resolution, except where these Terms expressly provide otherwise.

10.2 If you believe that PowerMatch was calculated incorrectly, contact support@liquidbrokers.com with your account ID and the relevant transaction or trade details. We will review the account records and respond under our complaints procedure.
